Kanye West became a trending Twitter topic on Sunday (January 8) after surfacing at a church over the weekend. The controversial superstar had been “missing” for several weeks, with many concerned about his whereabouts. The rumors started last month after his former business manager, Thomas St. John, claimed he couldn’t find him.
Kanye West was spotted at the chapel, and someone was able to take his picture, which instantly went viral online. He appeared like any other Joe Schmo attending a church service, dressed in a green bomber jacket, a camouflage baseball cap, and pants.

Kanye West’s supporters started accusing the manager of spreading “false news.” West vanished as soon as St. John tried to sue him for contract breach, according to St. John, who claimed this in court in December 2022. St. John asserts that West had agreed to pay him a $300,000 retainer each month, but that those payments were stopped after a “aggressive” meeting.
The lawsuit stated that “[St. John] needed a guarantee that [West] wouldn’t abruptly end the business connection, in addition to the costs and risks associated with committing to [Kanye West] as a client.” However, Mr. St. John offered to accept a contract that was at least 18 months long.
Perhaps Kanye West was merely asking St. John to vanish in his prayers. In either case, West is obviously okay. Does he truly want to be “discovered,” though?
